Senator Boxer Accused Of Racism

Black Chamber of Commerce CEO Rips Sen. Boxer for ‘Condescending’ Racial Remarks

The next video is painful and uncomfortable to watch. The CEO of the Black Chamber of Commerce, Harry C. Alford, angrily accuses Senator Boxer of racism, for condescendingly bringing up the NAACP, another black organization, in challenging his statements.

Senator Boxer

He referred to it as vile "Jim Crow" tactics and further stated, "You're trying to put up some other black group to pit against me." Ouch!

Race Issue Clouds US Senate Climate Hearing

WASHINGTON (Dow Jones)--...National Black Chamber of Commerce Harry Alford - the only witness called by Republicans to testify at the hearing - took issue with Boxer when she introduced the NAACP resolution.

"That's condescending and I don't like it," said Alford, who earlier had testified about his fears of the impact of climate-change legislation on minority communities. "It's racial. I take offense to that."

His anger flared up early. Boxer said energy investments are creating jobs in her state. Alford said he saw no evidence that energy investments are creating jobs.

"I've been looking - I haven't seen them yet," Alford told the senator. "The last time I checked, California is an economic basket case and these green jobs aren't going to solve it."

Boxer avoided the barb and responded: "I want you to come with me. Let's go see these jobs you say don't exist."

As for the NAACP, Alford said that "quoting some other black man" is "racial," appearing to suggest that his arguments about the economic effects of climate change legislation should be taken on their own terms rather than in the context of race.

"We're talking energy," he said. The "road the chair went down I think is G-d awful."

Nancy Pelosi Kills Jackson Bill

Sheila Jackson Lee

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi smacked down a bill U.S. House rep Sheila Jackson Lee, introduced at the Michael Jackson Memorial two days ago, that would have honored the late pop singer in Congress.

Nancy Pelosi

She stated it, "Would open up two contrary views." Not to nitpick, but doesn't everything in Congress open up two contrary views - Democrat and Republican. Try again. Just tell the truth. It's a lot better than pretending. You don't like him and refuse to recognize him.

Pelosi says no to Michael Jackson resolution

At her press conference this morning, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was asked about the CIA, health care -- and Michael Jackson.

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Tex., who spoke at Jackson's memorial service on Tuesday, wants to honor the King of Pop for his humanitarian works. She told those at the service that she had introduced a House resolution honoring him. But it is bound to be controversial. Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., has been particularly critical of Jackson's lifestyle and the media's coverage of his death, calling the pop legend a "pervert" and "low-life."

Pelosi, however, doesn't want to bring it up for a vote. She says a resolution honoring Jackson would be counterproductive because it "would open up two contrary views."...

This Man Was Elected To Congress

This country is in a lot of trouble!

Al Franken

AP Article:

No joke: Al Franken takes his new job seriously

WASHINGTON (AP) — So, did you hear the one about the comedian who spent a whole day on Capitol Hill and told no jokes?

Democrat Al Franken arrived in Washington on Monday content to be as mundane in the Senate as he was brazen in his previous job as a "Saturday Night Live" performer.

Forget funny. Soon after he showed up in a Senate hallway with Majority Leader Harry Reid, Franken made clear his new schtick is serious senator from Minnesota.

Obama Speaks About The Civil Rights Act

President Barack Obama praised the Civil Rights Act on its 45th anniversary. However, he stated there are still inequities. Yes, that's an understatement.

When individuals, through bribery and corruption, can so viciously and heinously violate the Civil Rights Act in modern day times, which creates a nasty stigma on said miscreants, disgracing the government that has not reined in said criminal conduct, it says society has a long way to go.

It is a shame, embarrassment and black eye to violate the Civil Rights Act in this day and age, but the fact that some people do not see it that way and persist in criminally transgressing it, says something is very wrong. There's no polite way of putting it.

When an entertainment industry sees repealing anti-slavery laws and privacy statutes as the way to prosperity, ill-gotten cash and unearned awards, something is very wrong.

Nazi FBI Director Robert Mueller

When U.S. federal law enforcement, the FBI, is headed by a Nazi, Robert Mueller, that openly discriminates and retaliates against blacks, Muslims, Indians, Chinese and immigrants, who have sued him in separate cases, it says something is very wrong.

When that same head of law enforcement, commits misprision of felony, in stalling the investigation and arrests of known famous criminal citizens for years, such as Bernard Madoff, R. Allen Stanford, Madonna and others, individuals criminally robbing people all over the world of their assets, something is very wrong.

America cannot continue like this, as it will breed a more severe financial crisis than the one currently plaguing the nation. Leaving financial crime unchecked during a depression is very detrimental.

Obama praises Civil Rights Act's 45th anniversary

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama says the Civil Rights Act opened doors for freedom but inequities remain on the legislation's 45th anniversary.

On Thursday, Obama released a statement praising the 1964 law that ended legal discrimination. Obama says Americans must continue to break down barriers to equality and fulfill the promises of that legislation.

Obama says the act won passage because Americans of all backgrounds "stood up, sat down, and marched in freedom's cause" together.

Colin Powell Concerned About Obama Spending

Colin Powell

Former U.S. Secretary, Colin Powell, is concerned about President Barack Obama's many spending initiatives and the strain it will create on the budget and deficit.

Powell airs doubts on Obama agenda

July 3, 2009 - Colin Powell, one of President Obama's most prominent Republican supporters, expressed concern Friday that the president's ambitious blitz of costly initiatives may be enlarging the size of government and the federal debt too much.

"I'm concerned at the number of programs that are being presented, the bills associated with these programs and the additional government that will be needed to execute them," Mr. Powell said in an excerpt of an interview with CNN's John King, released by the network Friday morning.

Mr. Powell, a retired U.S. army general who rose to political prominence after a long and accomplished military career, said that health care reform and many of Mr. Obama's other initiatives are "important" to Americans.

But, he said, "one of the cautions that has to be given to the president -- and I've talked to some of his people about this -- is that you can't have so many things on the table that you can't absorb it all."

"And we can't pay for it all," said Mr. Powell, who was the first African-American to serve as secretary of state, under former President George W. Bush. He was also national security adviser to President Reagan, and was chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under President George H.W. Bush from 1989 to 1993...

U.S. Senate Apologizes For Slavery

...With A Disclaimer Causing Controversy

Following in the lead of the U.S. House of Representatives, the Senate apologized for Slavery yesterday. They did so with a disclaimer that created controversy.

The Senate apologized for, "The fundamental injustice, brutality, and inhumanity of slavery and Jim Crow laws." However, added, "Nothing in this resolution authorizes or supports any claim against the United States; or serves as a settlement of any claim against the United States."

It was basically a legal disclaimer issued in an effort to impede any possible lawsuit or financial settlement for reparations that could be brought against the United States government.

It's amazing and pretty disgusting that some people are still practicing slavery in modern times.

Senate apologizes for slavery, but disclaimer draws criticism

WASHINGTON -- The Senate passed a resolution Thursday calling on the U.S. to apologize officially for the enslavement and segregation of millions of African-Americans and to acknowledge "the fundamental injustice, brutality, and inhumanity of slavery and Jim Crow laws."

The resolution, sponsored with little fanfare by Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa, passed on a voice vote. It now moves to the House of Representatives, where it may meet an unlikely foe: members of the Congressional Black Caucus.

Several CBC members expressed concerns Thursday about a disclaimer that states that "nothing in this resolution authorizes or supports any claim against the United States; or serves as a settlement of any claim against the United States."

The CBC members think that the disclaimer is an attempt to stave off reparations claims from the descendants of slaves. Congressional Black Caucus Chair Barbara Lee, D-Calif., said her organization is studying the language of Harkin's resolution.

Other CBC members said they've read it and don't like it.

"Putting in a disclaimer takes away from the meaning of an apology," said Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss. "A number of us are prepared to vote against it in its present form. There are several members of the Progressive Caucus who feel the same way."

Thompson and other Black Caucus members noted that a 1988 apology that the government issued to the Japanese-Americans held in U.S. camps during World War II had no disclaimer and didn't prevent them from receiving compensation.

"The language is unacceptable," said Rep. William Lacy Clay, D-Mo., "I'm a reparations man - how else do you repair the damage?"

Open Defiance

FBI Director Robert Mueller

FBI Director Mueller was recently, aggressively questioned in Congress, regarding indiscriminately spying on mosques throughout America. He claimed he does not instruct FBI agents to spy on places, but people, which is an outright lie.

The FBI routinely spies on and investigates businesses, organizations and associations all the time, staking out their properties as well. Often, one case leads to another and so on.

What was rather stunning about the congressional hearing last week is his arrogant attitude, which constituted open defiance. He basically told Congress he is "going to continue" doing what he wants at the FBI.

Congress told him one thing and he sat there, openly defiant, insisting that he shall do another. The D.O.J. tells him one thing and openly defiant, he continues to do another.

It is clear he believes in his sick, twisted, racist mind that he is the President of the United States, when he is not. In fact, he is one of the, if not the, worst thing that has ever happened to this country, as the nation and world shall soon find out.

His hatred of blacks, Asians, Muslims and immigrants, that is driving him, is going to destroy him, as he is being sued and denounced at an alarming rate. But he can continue (sarcasm). There's coming a time when no Mueller (his family) will be accepted anywhere in this world, when the full extent of his criminal misconduct becomes public knowledge.

Amazingly, he often closes his speeches with the words "God bless." However, what does God have to do with a man that has caused so much damage to the cause of Christ, with his openly corrupt, cruel, caustic and contemptible deeds that has harmed many. A man that indulged in financial misappropriation regarding taxpayer money , bribery and severe criminal negligence that resulted in the deaths of many.

What was the sense of corruptly looking the other way to the known criminal conduct of the Madoffs, Stanfords and Madonnas, criminally stealing billions in other people's assets and devaluing them with their incompetence, only for the U.S. economy to collapse, fall into the ground, in an unprecedented manner, because you allowed criminals to continue breaking the law for years.

Mueller patronizing Congress

The worst part is, you don't have the money to restore all that has been criminally lost. Compared to the aforementioned assets that have been devalued, you are as broke as a joke and with so little class and integrity, you constantly misused a $20 million taxpayer bought private jet, meant for anti-terrorism emergencies, so you could fly around in luxury and style to deliver social speeches.

I was told by an informed source, you acted out of misplaced nationalism, believing covering these terrible financial crimes, would help and protect America's name in the world.

Let me ask you a question, did you not think ahead to the time when the financial schemes and shams would fall apart, rendering the fraud bare. Did it not cross your crooked mind that billions of dollars in people's assets, that could not be replaced under U.S. insurance guidelines, were being devalued as you sat idly by, year after year, knowing crimes were taking place...or did you just not care.

You have to be insane to act as you did, in thinking it brings prestige to America, to cover the crimes of rich and famous people, whilst the U.S. economy pancaked in ruins, due to the fraud.

There are citizens of countries all over the world that misbehave all the time. This is nothing new. The key is for government to nip the corruption in the bud, minimizing the damage. However, when a nation's main law enforcement agency is seen deliberately looking the other way to serious financial crimes, it destroys consumer confidence domestically and around the globe...and that is what you have done at the FBI.

People all over the world know there are criminals in their countries, as no nation is perfect. However, when they see individuals in government, such as yourself assisting them, via looking the other way, then they write said government off as well...and that is what you have done at the FBI.

What you did is the equivalent of watching a small front yard fire envelope an entire house, when you could have extinguished it with minimal damage done.

Another question I'd like to ask is, when you give corrupt, illegal instructions to FBI agents, does it cross your depraved mind that these agents could get into very serious legal trouble, requiring them to hire defense attorneys to fight off criminal charges, imprisonment and massive asset forfeitures. Then again, some of these agents can't tell right from wrong anymore under your leadership, increasing their chances of imprisonment.

Republicans Trying To Block Homo Bill

Pedro Espada Jr. and Hiram Monserrate

Gays are angry that Republicans have seized control of the New York State Senate, thanks to the defection of two Democrats, Pedro Espada Jr. and Hiram Monserrate. Homosexuals are viewing this as a Republican attempt to block gay marriage in the state of New York.

Republicans Seize Control of State Senate

June 8, 2009, 3:50 pm - Two state senators — Pedro Espada Jr. of the Bronx and Hiram Monserrate of Queens — moved to defect to the Republican side, which would end Democratic control of the chamber.

Updated, 6:20 p.m. | ALBANY – Republicans apparently seized control of the New York State Senate on Monday, in a stunning and sudden reversal of fortunes for the Democratic Party, which controlled the chamber for barely five months.

A raucous leadership fight erupted on the floor of the Senate around 3 p.m., with two Democrats, Pedro Espada Jr. of the Bronx and Hiram Monserrate of Queens, joining the 30 Senate Republicans in a motion that would displace Democrats as the party in control...

One source of contention among Democrats recently has been Mr. Smith’s support for same-sex marriage. Senator Rubén Díaz Sr., a Democrat from the Bronx, has been outspoken in his insistence that legislation allowing gay couples to marry not be allowed to come to a vote. Some had speculated he might leave the Democratic Party if Mr. Smith were to allow a vote.

But Mr. Díaz did not join Mr. Espada and Mr. Monserrate in the leadership vote on Monday. It was not immediately clear whether the same-sex marriage legislation played any role in the leadership dispute...
